Connor Sport Court International Partners with U.S. Soccer Foundation to Provide Free Real tickets to Sorenson Multi-Cultural Center Kids

Salt Lake City, Utah (PRWEB) July 28, 2008 -- A lot of Salt Lake City children will be attending Salt Lake Real Soccer Games free this year as a result of a contribution of season tickets by Connor Sport Court International (www.connorsportcourt.com) and the U.S. Soccer Foundation.

Sorenson Multi-Cultural Center, 855 California Avenue, was presented with 20 season tickets as part of an outreach program sponsored by Sport Court® and the U.S. Soccer Foundation.

"We selected some of our kids who might not otherwise have been able to attend Real games," said Rosanita Cespedes, director of the Sorenson Multi-Cultural Center. The center provides a variety of services, including sports, after-school and summer programs, computer technology and others recreational and educational programs.

The tickets were made available through an agreement between the Salt Lake Real, U.S. Soccer Foundation, the Major Charitable Arm of Soccer in the U.S., and Sport Court, the industry leader in modular athletic flooring. Sport Court, headquartered in Salt Lake City and is part of the Foundation's Partners Resource Center as its supplier of futsal surfaces.

Futsal is a sport enjoying explosive growth worldwide, including in the U.S. This five-a-side version of soccer is played inside or outside, on a playing surface about the size of a basketball court, with a low-bounce ball that is heavier and smaller than a standard soccer ball. Futsal is extremely popular in South America and is often cited as the source of the creative and skillful style demonstrated by soccer players from South American countries such as Brazil.
